Report by Scottishenduros.

Another very enjoyable day at West Linton with glorious sunshine all day. Neil Flockhart showing the way home to the field with a blistering 3 hour blast ( and a back wheel that was falling apart on the last lap.) Only Fraser Norrie was able to stay with him on 14 laps - and they both looked so relaxed !

The young guns were all out in force and pushing hard. Fraser Norrie chasing hard all day. Allyn Scotland was doing well racing up to 3rd until he picked up some Air Miles after clouting a big rock on the far side of the course. Tom Grant put in  a fine performance for 3rd with Drew Harvey showing his staying power for 4th. Stephen Scott on one of his rare outings showed he has lost none of his speed with a fine 5th. Murray Thomson as usual picked up places as the day goes on and finished 6th.

The course was dry but developed some challenging whoops in places - not least the big hill which rutted up and needed some bike control to make the top towards the end of the day. The bog on the far side claimed a few victims as the ruts deepened - you only went that way once !

In the Over 40 Mark Ritchie claimed his 3rd win of the year and remains on top with 2 rounds still to go. Closely followed by Colin Bryan who lead the start of the race.  Davy Hill coming home in 3rd to keep his title hopes alive.

Clubman Fraser Flockhart pushed hard all day to move into the lead after 5 laps - taking over from Rick McVicker who lead after 3 laps and seems to be really enjoying his sport again. Adam Wark had a flier at the start to lead for 2 laps  before finishing in 3rd. All 3 riders on the same lap - only 1 down from the tope Experts.

Clubman B is turning into a very popular class with new winners at this round keeping the competition very much on the boil. Roddy Clarke lead Peter Woods home - both on 12 laps . Followed by Andrew Brass , Hamish Oag and Scott McVitie.  There were also 3 of our senior riders (over 50) inn the B's with Rab Moir leading Andrew McConnell and Jim Patrick - beating a few of the younger (40 + riders)

As usual the Sportsman have a few rapido riders with Lee Philips taking the win from Alistair Wark and Dean Barr. Our lady rider Tracey Currie continues to improve with each event - moving up from 2 laps last year to 6 this year - including a detour through the deepest rut on the entire course. Well done

Thanks to the Melville club for another great event - the Gilhooleys always put on a good show. And the Ingraston Farm for the use of their superb ground.
