SACU 2000 ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP
Round 4 Grampian Ian McKenzie Memorial Enduro Teinland
Another very enjoyable and succesful event run by John Little and
his team. A damp and dreich morning greeted the riders at a muddy start. The course was
revised from the previous year with the parts that cut up removed and new parts of
the track added in. A lap of 23 miles with three checks proved a test for most riders but
the time provided allowed almost all riders to stay clean. There were a few tight checks
to keep your speed up and the rain held off to ensure the course did not cut up too badly.
At a couple of places the course was altered to keep riders out of deep ruts and the
marshalls ensured everyone kept going.
Chains proved the downfall for a couple of riders with Andrew Flockhart in the Expert
class breaking his and retiring.
Malcolm Bisset made a welcome return from riding MX to provide some competition in the
expert class, but it was Chris Hay who ran Derek Little closest in a close contest.
A report from John Little will follow later. See below for photos of the event - courtesy
