Provisional results - Version 2

A great venue with a very keen team put on a fantastic days racing for those who travelled to the Tain MX track.  Jim Mair and his team put a lot of work into getting the event sorted in time with all classes catered for. John Little who is in hospital recovering from a stroke would love to have seen the event to start the new club - but he is still in Dr Grays but making good progress.

On the day there was a great battle in the Experts with the lead changing hands a couple of times before Andrew Bisset took the win by 6 minutes after three hours racing from Ben Thomson. Seam Henderson was the only other rider to get close to the top two - finishing a lap down - but still a lap ahead of the nearest challenger.

In the Over 40's Ian Bisset made it a family double pushed hard by the ever smiling Alan Davidson who managed the same number of laps, Richie Finnie and James Harvey finishing in 3rd and 4th .

Harry Hamilton finished a lap clear to win the Clubman but was pushed hard by Ryan Jones and Kenny Thomson who had their own battle - finishing seconds apart.

Ricky Sutherland and George McBeth fought hard all day in the Clubman B with Ricky finishing just 5 minutes  ahead of George. Adam Rusell came in 3rd just one lap down.

Andy Dean saw off challengers in the over 50 class by a lap from Billy Easdon and Alan Copland in the over 50's - the heat taking it's toll with riders as it go warmer as the day went on.

And in the Sportsman always a hard fought class - Matt Thorburn and Neil G Alexander fought hard all day with MAtt taking the win by 2 minutes. Colin Simpson fought hard for a great 3rd place.
