SACU Scottish Enduro Championship 2017  - Round 6 Bon Accord at Drumtochty Forest.

   Provisional Results v 2 . Click here

A great new forest at Fettercairn - always a challenge for clubs. Bon Accord put on another testing event on a steeply cambered forest . The ground held up well with Expert riders completing 7 laps. The test was a tight run through the trees up and down the side of a hill.

It was good to see the return to a Scottish forest of "Iron Man" Richard Hay pushing the younger riders hard all day. On the going Andrew Bisset managed to snap a chain but only dropped one minute on time - Enduros are about keeping going despite all problems.

Thanks to Stuart Cooper for all his work over the recent weeks to set out the course and for Bon Accord giving us the chance to compete in another new forest.

The event was won by Fergus Lamb closely followed by Andrew Bisset and Ben Thomson in 3rd. In the over 40's the battle resumed between Steven Currie and Mark Ritchie with the pair pushing hard all day - but Steven ending up the winner by the end of the event

In The new Over 50's class Andrew Maben took the win by 1 second from Duncan McCormick who was looking forward to a tough forest enduro. Neil McGregor finishing 3rd in the class

In the Clubman Andrew Scaife was the winner by 5 seconds from Kenny Thomson and Andrew Currie close behind in 3rd

Clubman  was won by Gareth Jamieson looking strong all day to finally get a 1st place after 2nd, 3rd and 4th during the rest of the year. Nial McCallum was 2nd with Dean Buchan in 3rd

Max Hamilton was 1st in the Sportsman ahead of Danny Conroy and Liam Clark after a tough day in the forest.
