Final Results after 6 days and the MX.

Fantastic result for Team Scotland at the ISDE. All riders now home and finished the final MX.

5th place out of 96 club teams - and top UK club team - again !.

Not an easy event with several mechanical problems. 2 riders in their first ISDE - finishing is an achievement - but these guys went out and raced from day 1. So proud of the team - and team manager Sam Davidson. All the helpers who travelled to Slovakia help make it a great team event. And not forgetting all the sponsors who helped send the team.

Fraser Norrie 4th in C2 and 2nd in the final MX

Fraser Flockhart 2nd C1 . Great result against very tough and experienced teams.

Andrew Bisset - 30th C1 - fantastic result in his first foreign event.

Scotland may be a small country - but we make a big noise.

Photos from the SACU ISDE Facebook page - I think Phil Hodges - great shots

ISDE Fund raising for the team . A really big thank you to Elgin Endurance club for all their efforts . The training and coaching days raised £1400 and the club has donated £1000 to the team fund. A fantastic effort to give our riders  the best start to their campaign.

Thanks must also go to Towergate insurance for waiving their charges on the practice day.

The SACU is pleased to announce that they are once again backing Scottish motorcycle sport by donating £1000 towards the costs of sending the Scottish enduro team to compete in the prestigious International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) which this year is being hosted by the city of Kosice in Slovakia. The directors are confident that a rejuvenated union will be in a position to satisfy similar requests from all disciplines going forward. In the meantime may we take this opportunity to wish the team the best of luck and here’s hoping that their hard work will bring the rewards that are deserved.”

And great news for the team - we have a new sponsor for the team - BPEC

BPEC are delighted to support The Scottish Auto Cycle Union (SACU) – Team Scotland in this year’s International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) taking place in Slovakia during September 2015.

Financial assistance has been provided to SACU through the BPEC Sport Award to support a team of 3 riders competing in this year’s International Six Day Enduro taking place in Kosice, Slovakia. The ISDE competition will see teams compete from all over the world and is often referred to as the Olympics of motorcycling sport. Riders compete for individual Gold, Silver or Bronze medals as well several team competitions. Team Scotland are once again entered in the National Club Team competition. In 2013 they achieved a top 5 result with all 3 riders picking up a gold medal. Read more . . . .

We are also very pleased to announce that Rock Oil are supplying the team with lubricants and all lubricants for the event. A very generous and essential part of the team

The sale of tee shirts and caps is going well - still available.

Colin Hume has donated an engraved malt whisky bottle from Ballantynes of Selirk- a very rare item and a great memento of the event .

We are still looking for sponsors who would like to assist the team - eg with fuel costs.

The team has also now got it's bike graphics sorted for the event - thanks to Derek Little for sorting out the design

First report from Kosice - thanks Fraser

Test walking began first thing Monday morning and the boys walked ET1&2 and Cross test one which will feature in the first 2 days. Through Tuesday and Wednesday the remainder of the tests have been walked and  the team and all very happy with variety and flow throughout all six tests.

On Wednesday Fraser, Frazer and Andrew all went out to test their race bikes on the short, dry and dusty test track next to the parc ferme and all bikes are running well with just a few minor tweaks required for the hard pack Slovakian ground.

The first 3 days the weather has reached heights on up to 36 degrees Celsius although it appears to of cooled now and there is word of rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday leading up to the event. Although this won't make a major difference to the terrain and there has been no rain in Kosice for 3 months, it will make some of the tests extremely slippery.
